What you will learn

• Explain the CWSP exam structure and the six weighted competency domains: Domain 1 Foundational Principles of Nutrition and Wellness (20%); Domain 2 Evidence-Based Evaluation of Supplements (20%); Domain 3 Patient Counseling and Interdisciplinary Care (20%); Domain 4 Practice Management, Ethics, and
• Master high-yield nutrition, wellness, supplement, counseling, regulatory, ethical, clinical, and public health concepts within the pharmacist role.
• Apply evidence-based appraisal methods to vitamins, minerals, specialty supplements, botanicals, probiotics, cannabinoids, emerging ingredients, and nutrigenomic/digital health claims.
• Identify and manage clinically significant drug-supplement interactions, supplement contraindications, nutrient depletions, perioperative safety issues, adverse events, and product-quality risks.
• Conduct patient-centered wellness consultations using motivational interviewing, culturally responsive counseling, medication/supplement reconciliation, personalized care planning, monitoring, referral, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Evaluate supplement use in common clinical contexts, including cardiometabolic disease, dyslipidemia, weight management, liver/renal considerations, mood and sleep concerns, inflammation/joint pain, oncology supportive care, geriatrics, pregnancy, bariatric surgery, athletes, and other special popul
• Apply practice management, DSHEA/cGMP, FDA labeling, third-party certification, formulary curation, vendor quality, conflict-of-interest, legal-risk, and adverse-event reporting principles to wellness practice.
